How it works

One goal, small steps, and a habit you build together.

No complicated budgets. Just three simple steps the whole family can understand.

01

A wish becomes a goal

Your child chooses what they want. KUMBA breaks the path into small, clear steps.

02

Effort becomes visible

Progress grows as tasks are completed. Fiko notices small wins without adding pressure.

03

You stay in control

Tasks, allowance, and approvals stay with the parent. The app never holds money or asks for a card.

Why start early?

Money habits don’t begin at 18. They begin in childhood.

Needs versus wants, waiting, choosing, and saving for a goal are skills children can begin learning much earlier.

Age 701

The foundations of money habits form early

Research shows that by around age 7, children are already developing basic ideas about value, planning, waiting, and the consequences of choices.

Childhood habits carry into adult behaviour

Talking about money as a family in childhood has been associated with starting regular investing earlier and with higher household net worth in adulthood.

What you should know before deciding.

If you have another question, send it to us when you join the early access list.

Does KUMBA hold real money or card details?

No. In its first release, KUMBA is not a bank or payment tool. It tracks the savings and progress information entered by the family.

Can my child buy something on their own?

No. Purchase decisions and external links remain in the parent area. The child experience never uses sales pressure or fear-of-missing-out language.

What age group is it designed for?

KUMBA is designed for families with children aged 6–14. Tasks, goals, and content adapt to your child’s age.

When will early access begin?

Once the first family group is ready, we’ll contact parents on the list in order. Participation is free and you can leave the list at any time.
